Very closely located to popular area of Nishiki market in Kyoto, it was very popular, reservations required. Every dish was fantastic, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. They have a quick 8 course menu with appetizer to desert if you please.

With over 1600 restaurants in Kyoto, you could be overwhelmed when it comes to choosing where to eat. This absolute gem of a restaurant was a short walk from our apartment and provided us with a truly authentic, intimate, and delicious dining experience. We sat at the ‘bar’ with locals (there was m...ore seating upstairs), and were able to watch our meal being skilfully prepared. We ate seasonal fish tempura, grilled wagu, and a selection of sushi, washed down with a bottle sparkling wine. It was a memorable experience that I would definitely recommend.

The best meal we have had in Japan so far. The staff were so friendly and professional. We loved watching the amazing fresh food being cooked in front of us. The selection of best quality fish and meat cooked in the most traditional Japanese way was delicious. Highly recommend.

We saw this restaurant because very close our hotel… we decide to go because the place and the menu sounded good….. excellent experience… the girl attended us super kind and the menu very good…a place to be…let’s go! Don’t esitate!

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner (Ume set menu) and tried a variety of sake. All was superb. The ambience at the bar is great. Everything was so spot on we returned for a second meal and were not disappointed. This restaurant should climb the ranks on Tripadvisor!
