Teikoku Hotel Tokyo Kamon

Kamon is a very very good restaurant. The chefs are all excellent, the wine list extensive and the people who work there all wonderful. We dined there four times during our 2026 two-week stay in Tokyo. We believe that it’s the best teppanyaki restaurant in Tokyo (after numerous stays there) and high...ly recommend it.

This restaurant is one of the very best restaurants in Tokyo, or elsewhere. We dined here twice during our April/May 2025 stay in Tokyo and during previous trips, as well. It is consistently excellent. We had Kobe Beef with spiny rock lobster. Everything served with it was world class (eg, the foie... gras and the garlic) and the service also is spectacular. Great wine list, too.

We wanted to try teppanyaki. We went here, because it was in the hotel we were staying out, without being prepared for the price (which is on us...we should have done due diligence beforehand). It was likely immediately obvious to the entire staff that we were not the sort of people that frequent re...staurants like this. And there was a moment of frantic whispered conversation between my husband and I about whether we could get away with immediately doing a runner when we saw the menu and realized the cost. In the end, however, we picked the second cheapest set meal and drank beer because we were to embarrassed to walk out. Putting all that aside: it was also the best steak I have ever had in my entire life. Like I don't need to ever eat steak again, as nothing will ever compare to what I had that night. The food was also wonderful and beautifully presented. And in spite of the fact that we looked, quite literally, like massive bumpkins, the staff were lovely to us. You do get 6 courses for the price. Thankfully, because the cost for two people was equivalent to my kid's monthly rent. In short: it was an incredible experience that I will never forget and I'm glad I did it. But I do have to swallow back my horror at the amount of money we spent.

Fantastic meal! We had a Christmas eve dinner at Kamon Japanese restaurant, Imperial Hotel Tokyo. The chef was so friendly and courteous with exceptional cooking skills! He was also fluent in English. (If we remember correctly, his name was Master Chef Atsuta.) Waitresses were nice and helpful. The... meal tasted fabulous! Every bite was succulent and amazing! Perfect balance of tastes made out of fine ingredients! Hope to revisit the place again soon! Definitely and highly recommended to everyone!
